So how did we come to making this project?
Finder's initial aim was to explore ideas about online identity for a new, accessible touring play and workshop, made with and for teenagers and young adults.
January 2018 saw the first phase of development of the project as a new show, written by BRIT School students through workshops and explored by the company in BSL and English, with projections and creative captions at The Barbican Pit Theatre, as part of their Open Lab.
A second phase of research and development, supported by Camden People's Theatre, with funding from Arts Council England (www.artscouncil.org.uk) took place in January 2019, this time, students from Oak Lodge took part in workshops, advising and contributing to the ongoing development of the project.
As the outbreak of Covid-19 has resulted in school closures, with all of us spending increased time online, this project feels important now more than ever and will reach it's audience via the social media platforms and online activity, it raises safety awareness of. This digital drama and workshop is aimed at 9-13 year olds. It will educate, entertain and encourage safeguarding by instigating conversations through drama based exercises at home.
